Having participated in the 1-day course recently, I feel I must convey my appreciation. Firstly for the competence of Roberta Larkin and her pedagogic skill as well as sheer creative enjoyment in a relaxed atmosphere.
I would recommend such an interesting experience to enjoy the beauty of glass art
Having spent ten years intending to have the stain glass in my front door repaired, I chanced one morning on a van advertising Larkin Glass Art. An e mail generated a speedy response from Roberta followed by a site visit and more importantly a perfectly restored window. Thank you for a very professional job.
Your patience and professionalism have restored both the stained glass door panel and the memories it evokes.
Thank you for the repairs and restoration of my glass panel. It looks fabulous and evokes many happy memories as it is of great sentimental value. I am really pleased with the result.
Thank-you for completing the repair of our inner front door stained glass window. I would recommend you to others, as the repair was carried out professionally. We had been looking to find someone who could do this for several years and are very pleased that you were able to do this for us.
This is just to say thank you for your skilful and sensitive restoration
work on our stained glass. We continue to be very happy with it. Just as
importantly, you came when you said you would and were equally punctual about returning and fitting the repaired door panel.
We would be happy to recommend your work to others. With very best wishes.

Roberta, We are really pleased with the glass feature that you created for our home. It adds real interest to the area and also lets plenty of light through as requested. A very professional job. Thank you.

Roberta has been my inspiration into the whole new world of Tiffany glass. I attended my first one day course at the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum and because of Roberta’s professionalism, right from the start, I have become hooked.
I have since attended another two day course where I made a fabulous horse and had numerous meetings directly with Roberta (to finish him off); she has been a great support to the point where we are now friends.
I would definitely recommend the Tiffany glass course as a totally different way to spend you time. It’s a very methodical process, and the results are simply beautiful.
I would just like to say thank you for the new stained glass panel for our front door. The new insert ties in really well with our existing fan light and makes the door special. I am really impressed with the final product and will definitely be recommending you to my friends and family.”
Hi, I would just like to say that Roberta done a fantastic job in repairing my stained glass mirror, very easy to deal with and considering she had to order parts from England a very quick turnaround. Thanks and I would definitely recommend using her services.

1 Day Tiffany Glass workshop
I have just attended the above workshop with Roberta.
Roberta is a fantastic teacher who has a wealth of knowledge to pass on to a beginner like myself.
I was able to produce a a piece of Tiffany Glass with which I am delighted. Thank you Roberta and I look forward to developing this skill further.
Many thanks for your work on our window panel – it has never looked cleaner or fresher, and is a welcome addition to our new home. Hopefully we will see you in your evening classes next year!
All the best

Many thanks for the wonderful job you did restoring our stained glass front door. It’s perfect. Thank you for being professional and punctual, I would highly recommend you.
Roberta did a great job in repairing a stained glass panel which we had received as a wedding present but which had been damaged in transit when moving house. As a result we hadn’t been able to display it properly for years but after Roberta’s careful and sensitive refurbishment we can enjoy now hanging this unique decorative object with its sentimental value once again. Roberta went out of her way to be helpful and to repair the panel quickly and creatively.

My sister and I took your stained glass workshop on 21st and 22nd February at An Creggan visitor centre.
We both enjoyed the workshop very much. It was extremely enjoyable and relaxing and we loved being able to take something we created home with us.

Just wanted to pass on my thanks for a lovely 2 days learning the processes involved in stained glass working. I think we all came away happy that we had achieved new skills and benefited from having enjoyed some great company.
Roberta Larkin is replacing the leaded lights parts (13) of windows in our house to close to the original “Tudor” design and build. These panels are then inserted into double glazed units and installed by another firm. As part of this restoration she has completed a leaded light front door panel, which is now in place. We are delighted with the result and can’t wait to see the windows back to their original appearance. It’s a gradual process but well worth the wait. Watch this space.

We are both keen to learn more and would be interested in doing another two day course where we could learn how to create the panels.
If you could let us know were and when you are taking more courses in making panels we would appreciate it.

What a fantastic day my mum and I had yesterday at one of Roberta’s Tiffany Glass workshops. Mum and I both had very different projects in mind, but Roberta was patient and accommodating and packed so much tuition into the 7 hours we had with her. From cutting, to grinding and soldering we covered off all the any processes involved in a simple and clear way. Mum ended up with a lovely celtic knot panel, while I achieved a long-held ambition to make a secondary glazing panel for a window in my home. We are both thrilled with the results and would thoroughly recommend Roberta’s workshop – the day flew in and we’re both exhausted but delighted!
Hi Roberta, many thanks for the great workshop and all your invaluable help and guidance. I am very pleased with my beautiful Poppy.
Ian and I would like to say a big thank you for the excellent work you did in repairing and restoring the stained glass panel to our front door. We’re extremely pleased not only with the quality of your work but also the way you undertook the job, giving us dates and times that you stuck too and at a price that we considered very competitive.
Once again thank you.
Thank you for doing such an amazing job on our stained glass in our front door. As you know, after 80 years it was in a very poor state – you have rejuvenated it without losing any of its old world charm.
Thank you so much for fixing our door at short notice. It looks great.
Roberta came to our rescue one evening after an urgent issue with the leaded lights in our Edwardian front door. She has repaired and refitted within a couple of days. All at a very reasonable cost. Additionally, she has given us contacts to get a new door made to accommodate our 1930’s glass panels. No request too much trouble and beautiful craftsmanship. Very pleased.
“Roberta Larkin replaced 13 leaded lights in the windows of our home as we wanted to return to the original “Tudor” design used when the house was built. These panels were then inserted into double glazed units and installed by another firm. We also added a large lead light panel to the front door which was not in the original build. We are delighted with the result, it was a gradual process but well worth the wait. Many thanks Roberta.”
Thank you so much for making a very cold front hall very warm and welcoming after you repaired and installed the three pieces of salvage stain glass I have had in my possession for some time. The oval piece which you remodelled into a rectangle looks as though it has always been in situ along with the two side panels. A very professional job and very much appreciated.
Many thanks Roberta for an enjoyable day of learning the new skill of Tiffany glass design. Your patience and sense of fun was much appreciated for a novice such as myself. It’s lovely to have a beautiful item to remind me of the course.
We are delighted with the stained glass window Roberta has made for us. As part of a full renovation, we needed a large feature window for the stairwell in our Victorian house. We worked with Roberta on a design which complemented the period of the house. Roberta took great care with the proportions of the design and finding the right coloured glass, and with highly skilled workmanship she has delivered a stunning result.
A big thank you again for the Workshop on Saturday, Michelle and I thoroughly enjoyed the day. It was great to have the opportunity to attempt a new skill and we both appreciated the time and expertise you shared with us. We would certainly recommend the Workshop.
It was good meeting you, Lorraine and your four legged friends. Best wishes for the future.
Many thanks Roberta for doing an excellent job repairing our stained glass front door. The work was done quickly to a high standard with no disruption or fuss. Looks better now than before the football made an impression!!
I absolutely adore the lamp shade and side shades (after) tiffany,
I did not look for the repairs seriously but it was obvious that they
were very well done because the whole set looks stunning. I showed them to a friend on the way home after collecting them
and they would have been sold except that their new hall ceiling was just not high enough!!! Like I said! there is a debate going on as to whether
I get to keep them or sell them!!! They do look good hanging from my gallery ceiling!!
It is great to know that we have your sort of artistic skills in N.Ireland
Many thanks for a beautiful job well done.
I will know where to recommend my friends to go to when they have art glass for repairs or indeed commissions
for art glass or leaded glass windows.
Very many thanks.
Church Window Work:
The light panels were created by removing damaged panels in the original church doors. With a new reception area being created the church wanted to combine the old with the new. Roberta restored the stained glass and lead work. These were then encased in the wooden frames made from pitch pine reclaimed from old pews. The beautiful panels are displayed in the north and south porches of St John’s Newtownbreda and are illuminated during Sunday worship
I spent a lovely relaxing day with Roberta in her workshop. She has great patience and skill and talent and it shines through with her teaching. Thank you Roberta for a enjoyable day.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful day. Stained glass art is something that I have always been interested and it was super to be taught all the aspects of this form of art with such an expert. From the cutting, grinding, coppering and soldering, it was trickier than I thought but I am now game to have a go at it on and am awaiting the arrival of my glass grinder for Christmas to get started on my own small projects!!
Thanks again for the fun and hospitality.
Absolutely delighted with Roberta’s skills, the glass tree is now 2 and they sit perfectly displayed. Well done.
Spent a days work shop with Roberta repairing a lamp made some previous years. Cannot thank Roberta enough for her expertise, knowledge and patience in reconstructing a new beautiful lamp.
We are over the moon with our front door, you have done a fantastic job, thank you. Been wanting to do this for ages and it really makes the house and brings back the original features. We’ll certainly recommend you to others looking.

Just to say how much I enjoyed the stained glass workshop. Your tuition had just the right balance of explanation and practice in basic skills, and I also appreciated your advice on the glass element of my woodworking project. It was a fun day and a great introduction to the craft.
With thanks and best wishes
Brilliant workshop on Tiffany glass work, made so much easier by your concise and enabling approach. Delighted to actually produce a suncatcher to be proud of. I definitely now have the confidence and skills etc to take this art form further.
The window is lovely, you’ve done a brilliant job, thank you so much.
Refurbishing our new home we decided that a window in our dining area was crying out to be a stained glass feature. Inspired by some of the examples on the Larkin Glass Art website we met with Roberta and began a collaboration to make it happen. Roberta came up with some ideas that we developed. We now have our window in situ. To say we are pleased is an understatement. Our neighbours love it too.

It was a professionally run course, nice atmosphere and worth the price. I would recommend doing this and look forward to progressing to the next stage. Thank you Roberta for sharing your knowledge . You are a Stained glass master.
Thanks again Roberta for the amazing job you did restoring my window! It is absolutely gorgeous and has been admired by so many people! A work of art!
We are delighted with the front door. It looks great.
I attended the one day Tiffany glass course . It was a small friendly class so a wonderful way to learn new skills. Roberta’s love of the subject and extensive knowledge makes it a great workshop to inspire new students . I really want to learn more, I think that is a mark of an excellent teacher . At the end of the day I had a finished piece of work, which does encourage you to continue . If you have an interest in stained glass this is a great way to test the waters !
Thank you for a very informative workshop today. We both really enjoyed it and learnt a lot and mastered basic techniques. We are delighted with the results.
It was a lovely, fascinating and instructive day and I cannot thank you enough for making my introduction into the world of stained glass one of enormous enjoyment. My leaf suncatcher is already hanging in the window, just waiting for tomorrow’s sun to bring it to life! I very much look forward to more workshops with you.
All the best,
We had bought an old stained glass window to use as a feature in our extension. When we went to put it up we noticed that there were a couple of cracks in some of the pieces. We contacted Roberta at Larkins Glass and she was so helpful. She advised us of our options, managed our expectations and kept us up to date with her progress. Roberta’s enthusiasm and her love of her work is evident. She is very professional and talented and we are delighted with the way the window has turned out. We would not hesitate to use Roberta again and would definitely recommend her. Thanks Roberta.!!😁
The stained glass has come up a treat and looks fabulous with the new leading. Am delighted. Thank you for taking such care.
Roberta guided us expertly through the design process and provided us with options from which we could choose, including the design motif, texture and colours of the glass. The outcome has been an expertly designed and crafted stained glass panel for the entrance hall of our home. We are very grateful for the skill and considerable time taken to prepare and fit the panel.

Roberta has restored our front door glass so beautifully. She came and removed it without any trouble, gave it back it’s traditional beauty and replaced it to perfection. I am so pleased to have found her! She respects the art of tradition and treats the age old panes with such love – i just knew it was in great hands The stained glass has come up a treat and looks fabulous with the new leading. Am delighted. Thank you for taking such care.
Many thanks for the repairs you did to my front door stain glass window. It’s looks perfect now. I’m delighted with your work!
Roberta repaired a leaded side light in our porch. This involved the removal of and retaining the original, 1930’s, slips to reuse which was not an easy task. The finished repair is an amazing job and has returned the panel back to it’s original glory, everybody who has seen the repair has commented on how well it looks.
I will be employing Roberta again to carry out a repair on the opposite side light and would not hesitate to recommend her services. All work is carried out in a professional manor and to a very high standard.
The hall in my new flat was so dark. The panel of a peacock which you made for me in leaded and tiffany glass just opens up my hall and is so welcoming. Willie the joiner made a lovely job of inserting it and the reinforced backing glass into the wooden fireproof hall/lounge door.
A huge thank you to Roberta for restoring our front door stained glass window. It is a first class professional job. Roberta is a pleasure to deal with and to have in our home working away.
Thanks very much for fixing the stain glass in the cupboard door. I was so worried it was beyond repair! It’s just great to have it securely in place again and at such a reasonable price.
Thank you so much for the excellent job you did on repairing my leaded glass doors, they look fantastic.
My mother’s much loved tiffany standard lampshade was expertly repaired by Roberta within a short time span and at a competitive price. The glass shade had detached from the vase cap due to the sheer weight of the shade, thus rendering it useless. Roberta, however, readily agreed to take on the task of repairing it to its former glory and thoroughly explained the process and cost involved. Cleaning, application of copper foil, and soldering were involved and when she returned it, the expertise of her work was apparent. She also reinforced the shade by means of a ‘spider’ with the aim of providing extra support. My mother was delighted to have dealt with Roberta who is a friendly, efficient worker in her trade. We would have no hesitation in recommending her for anyone wanting a job of this type well done. Many, many thanks Roberta.
Thank you Roberta for such an enjoyable day. My friend and I are so chuffed with our beautiful glass art pieces and our new skills and knowledge in all that is involved in the Tiffany glass process. You are a very good teacher and a lovely lady. It was an excellent idea of ours to spend one of our precious days holiday under your care, we will remember and treasure the experience always! And thanks for your local recommendations – we had a very enjoyable walk back into beautiful Bangor!

Thank you for my beautiful stained glass window. It is all that I hoped for – simple, stylish and sophisticated. I love it.
The one-day course with Roberta was a brilliant experience. It was my first venture into working with glass and it couldn’t have been a better one. Everything was explained and demonstrated with simplicity and in great detail and individual assistance from Roberta was readily forthcoming, making the whole experience a real pleasure. For me, the question now is ‘Where do I go from here?’
Tiffany Glass 1 day Workshop –
Roberta took a small group of complete novices and led us patiently step by step through each stage of the Tiffany Glass technique (and there’s quite a few!) until we had all produced stunning sun catchers to our own designs.
This is a full day course that flies by as you concentrate and enjoy each stage. Roberta’s patience, humour and skill made the whole process thoroughly enjoyable and incredibly satisfying when you walk away with a finished piece of glass art.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to try something new and to spend a day learning a unique and interesting craft under the watchful eye of a talented artist!
All the best
Hey Roberta, good morning to you. Many, many thanks for having me on your Tiffany stained glass course. The day just flew by and I had no idea how engrossed I’d become in the overall process throughout the day. I found the whole thing very calming and restful, not least because of your easygoing manner. You are an excellent teacher and I am absolutely delighted with my suncatcher. I’d recommend the course to anyone!Thank you so muchCiaran
The stained glass panel is a very bespoke piece of art which we asked Roberta to commission. The design, colours, glass and frame were selected by ourselves under Roberta’s guidance to bring out the best in this external wall feature. As we live by the seaside the three yachts depicted represented not just the sea but also our family of three. We are extremely pleased with our finished art work and is proudly displayed on our front wall elevation for all to see, it should last a very long time. At night it takes on a whole new look when lit above by a soffit light.
The stained glass feature is approximately 400mm wide x 600mm deep and comprises of a backing mirror and a front protective glass layer surrounded in Iroko hardwood framing and coated with multiple layers of yacht varnish to protect it from the external elementsJack
Had such a fun day making Tiffany Stain Glass dove. Learnt so many skills in one day. Roberta was so patient, knowledgeable and a great tutor. It was an amazing and enjoyable day. I hope to come back to do another project.Mary Jo
